Volkan Kaya was born in 1978 in Izmir/Turkey. He graduated from Istanbul University, Department of International Relations in 2000. In addition, he also received a master's degree in international finance. He started his career at Citibank Turkey in 2000. He held senior positions in banking for 11 years at Citibank and HSBC.
